Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Ertuğrul Sarı ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and handles information when you use AI Song Generator (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are
The App is developed and operated by Ertuğrul Sarı, an independent developer. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at [email protected].
2. Our Privacy Stance
Here is the short version:
- We do not require accounts, sign-ins, or email addresses.
- We do not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We ask before the first lyrics you write ever leave your device, in plain language. We then do not ask again, and Section 7 says exactly how to have that permission withdrawn.
- The songs you make, their cover art, and your playlists are stored only on your device.
- We do not use advertising identifiers, App Tracking Transparency, session replay, or cross-app tracking of any kind.
- The App collects no product analytics at all. Nothing in it counts your taps or records your screens.
- Purchases are processed by Apple, and your entitlement is managed by RevenueCat.
3. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
To make a song, the App sends the lyrics you wrote, the style you asked for, and any cover-art direction you give to the services that produce it. This requires your permission, which the App asks for in a sheet the first time you generate a song. That sheet appears at the moment the words would leave your phone, not when a screen opens. If you ask the App to revise, extend, or re-perform something you already made, the material that revision needs is sent the same way, under the same permission.
Your songs, their cover art, and your playlists are stored in a library on your device that belongs to the App. We do not have access to it, and nothing in it leaves your device unless you export or share it yourself.
Information Collected Automatically
The App itself collects nothing about how you use it. There is no analytics service in it, no event counter, and no crash-reporting service, so the fact that you opened a screen, wrote a line, or listened to a song is recorded nowhere but on your device.
Two things leave your device besides the material above. If you buy credit packs or subscribe, the App receives your purchase and entitlement state from RevenueCat, which assigns a pseudonymous identifier to your installation, as described in Section 5. And if you allow notifications, iOS delivers them locally on your device; the App registers no device token with any server of ours.
What We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, or browsing history. The App does not ask for the camera, the microphone, your photo library, your contacts, or your location, and it holds no permission to reach any of them. We do not collect payment card information; all payments are processed by Apple. We do not maintain user profiles, and we do not use cookies.
4. How We Use Your Information
The lyrics and the direction you give are sent to produce the song, the cover art, and the information describing them, and for nothing else. They are not used to build a profile of you, and they are not used to train any model of ours.
Your library is used solely so that you can play, edit, and organize the songs you made, on your device. Your credit balance and your subscription state are used only to determine what you are entitled to use.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your information to anyone. We share data only in the following limited circumstances.
OpenRouter: To work out a song's structure and title material before it is performed, the App sends a request containing the lyrics you wrote to OpenRouter, a routing service, which passes it to Google's Gemini models. fal.ai: The performance of the song, meaning the music and the vocals you hear, is generated by fal.ai. The request contains the lyrics, the style, and the structure, and nothing about you. fal.ai Privacy Policy: https://fal.ai/privacy
Replicate: The cover art is drawn by a model running on Replicate. What is sent is a description of the image to draw, derived from the direction you gave, and nothing about you. Replicate Privacy Policy: https://replicate.com/privacy
Apple: All purchases, including credit packs and subscriptions, are processed by Apple under your Apple ID. Apple shares with us only the information required to verify your purchase. Apple's Privacy Policy applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
RevenueCat: RevenueCat manages subscription entitlement and your credit balance on our behalf. It receives a pseudonymous installation identifier, your purchase receipt from Apple, and your entitlement status. It does not receive your lyrics, your songs, your name, or your email. No analytics provider: The App sends no product analytics to anyone. There is no PostHog or comparable service in it.
Our servers: A request to make a song passes through our servers, which route it to the services above. They hold it only for as long as the request takes and keep no copy.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ertuğrul Sarı, our users, or the public.
6. Data Storage and Retention
Your songs, cover art, and playlists are stored on your device and persist until you delete them within the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes all on-device data. We have no copy of any of it and cannot restore it, so keep your own exports of anything you want to keep.
Material sent to produce a song passes through our servers as a transmission layer only: it is held for as long as the request takes, is not written to storage on our side, and is not retained once the result is returned. What each service named in Section 5 retains on its own systems is governed by its own policy, linked there. Your credit balance and entitlement state live on RevenueCat's servers under their retention policy; you can reset them by cancelling with Apple and contacting us.
7. Your Consent, and Withdrawing It
Before the first time your words leave your phone, the App shows you a sheet explaining that the lyrics and the direction you give will be sent to the services named in Section 5 in order to produce the song, and asks whether you agree. Your answer is remembered so that you are not asked again.
The App does not currently offer a control of its own for withdrawing that agreement once given. To withdraw it, write to [email protected], from the contact row in the App's settings, and we will record the withdrawal against your installation. Nothing further will be sent after that, and the next song you try to generate will ask you again. Withdrawing it stops anything further from being sent; it does not recall what was already sent to produce an earlier song, and it does not delete songs you already made.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Because we maintain no account database, everything you made resides on your own device, which you control directly. You can export or share a song from inside the App, and you can delete songs, playlists, and the whole library within the App, or uninstall the App to remove everything at once.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, you have rights to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold, as well as rights to data portability and to object to processing. Because nearly all data is stored on your own device, most of these rights can be exercised directly within the App. For any remaining requests, contact us at [email protected].
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information. Contact us at [email protected] for any requests.
If you are a resident of the Republic of Türkiye, you have rights under the KVKK (Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698), including rights to access, rectification, and erasure. Contact us at [email protected].
10. Security
The App stores your library in your device's protected storage, which benefits from the encryption iOS applies at rest. Communications with the services named in Section 5 and with Apple's purchase services are protected by HTTPS/TLS. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, through a notice in the App or the App Store listing. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
